Ethylene Oxide (EO) Engineering Runs

STERIS Isomedix Services offers weekly ethylene oxide engineering runs at our Minneapolis, Minnesota ethylene oxide processing facility. This unique program provides a simple, cost-effective method to evaluate the effects of the EO process on product components or packaging, and is ideal for material compatibility studies and new product development.

EO engineering runs are performed on Sundays, allowing product to be shipped on Monday. While a sterile claim cannot be made, the engineering runs are executed using a four hour dwell and approximate 10.5 hour total cycle time. Multiple Customers may be included in one ethylene oxide chamber, with each Customer limited to two boxes per cycle.

Engineering runs expose product samples to a generic EO cycle which may not reflect actual in-chamber production parameters.

Note: If you are not a current Customer of STERIS Isomedix Services, please complete a credit application and W-9 form and submit both documents with the EO engineering run request form.
